Nasionalberita.com – Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has finally issued an apology to fans and all parties involved. This comes as a result of his post that was deemed Anti-Semitic or anti towards the Jewish community.
Earlier, Jamie Foxx made a post on his personal account that sparked controversy.
“They killed this Dude Jesus, what do you think they will do????! #fakefriends #fakelove,” Jamie Foxx wrote.
Shortly after, Jamie Foxx deleted his post and issued an official statement.
“In the wake of the tumultuous response from fans in the online world, I have deleted the post in question and issued an official statement,” wrote Jamie Foxx in his Instagram Stories, a day later.
He then continued with an explanation that presented a different perspective, “To clarify, I felt betrayed by a false friend, that’s what I meant by ‘parties’ which is nothing more than that. Love is the only thing flowing in the depths of my heart for all individuals. For the Jewish community, I hold love and support in abundance. I extend a sincere apology to anyone who may have been hurt. Only love prevails, Jamie Foxx.”
The controversial post from Jamie Foxx emerged after several months of him being out of the public eye, coinciding with his unexpected status as a hospital patient. Despite the shrouded secrecy, news of the serious illness he faced became intertwined with public perception.
Following the uproar surrounding the incident, netizens connected the dots and speculated that the friend Jamie Foxx referred to was Jennifer Aniston.
On her private Instagram page, Jennifer Aniston expressed her feelings.
“I feel exasperated by this,” she wrote firmly.
“I did not intentionally endorse this post, nor did I do so unintentionally. And more importantly, I want to explain to my friends and anyone hurt by this content appearing on their feed, that I reject all forms of anti-Semitic sentiment. Hatred in any form is something I do not tolerate. Done, finished,” she declared.
