Nasionalberita.com – On the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, President Joko Widodo granted the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipradana, Bintang Mahaputera, Bintang Jasa, and Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma honors. The award ceremony was held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday, August 14, 2023.
Formally, President Jokowi bestowed these honors upon 18 recipients based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia dated August 7, 2023. The Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipradana honor was conferred upon Ibu Iriana, the spouse of President Joko Widodo, as stated in Presidential Decree No. 66/TK/2023 concerning the Conferment of the Bintang Republik Indonesia honor.
President Jokowi also presented the Bintang Mahaputera honor to six recipients based on Presidential Decree No. 67/TK/2023, namely: a. The Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana honor was given to:
- Wury Estu Handayani, the spouse of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin;
- Sukma Violetta, Member of the Judicial Commission of the Republic of Indonesia – Chairperson of the Prevention and Capacity Enhancement of Judges Division; and
- Saldi Isra, Vice Chairman of the Constitutional Court; b. The Bintang Mahaputera Utama honor was presented to Joko Sasmito, Member of the Judicial Commission of the Republic of Indonesia – Chairperson of the Oversight of Judges and Investigations Division; c. The Bintang Mahaputera Pratama honor was bestowed upon Boy Rafli Amar, Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) (May 2020-March 2023); d. The Bintang Mahaputera Nararya honor was conferred upon Wishnutama Kusubandio, an arts enthusiast.
Moreover, President Jokowi granted the Bintang Jasa honor to nine recipients based on Presidential Decree No. 68/TK/2023, with the following details: a. The Bintang Jasa Utama honor was given to:
- Sumartoyo, Member of the Judicial Commission of the Republic of Indonesia – Chairperson of the HR, Advocacy, Law, Research, and Development Division (2015-2020);
- Makarim Wibisono, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Environment and Forestry in the field of International Cooperation;
- Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Ari Dwipayana, Presidential Special Staff;
- Sukardi Rinakit, Presidential Special Staff;
- Olly Dondokambey, Governor of North Sulawesi; b. The Bintang Jasa Pratama honor was presented to:
- Soehardjono Sastromihardjo, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to UNEP and UN Habitat (2016-2020);
- Sudharto Prawoto Hadi, Professor of Environmental Management at Diponegoro University and Chairman of the PROPER Council of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry;
- Edvin Aldrian, Chief Expert Researcher at the Climate and Atmospheric Research Center, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); c. The Bintang Jasa Nararya honor was conferred upon the heirs of the late Ki Mohamad Amir Sutaarga, a cultural expert.
Meanwhile, the Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma honor was awarded based on Presidential Decree No. 69/TK/2023 to: a. The heirs of the late Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati, a cultural figure; b. The heirs of the late Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Haryo Djojokusumo, a cultural and educational artist.
Present at the event were Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security/Head of the Council for Decorations, Medals, and Honors (GTK) Mahfud Md., Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
Also in attendance were State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Makarim, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Admiral Yudo Margono, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko.
