Nasionalberita.com – Pecco Bagnaia amazed with his performance as he dominated the top podium spot in the MotoGP Austria.
Mastering the Red Bull Ring circuit with sheer dominance, Bagnaia crossed the finish line as the champion, leaving Brad Binder trailing by a five-second gap.
With an additional 25 points from the MotoGP Austria, Bagnaia’s overall tally now reaches 251 points. The point difference is 62 points ahead of the second position, currently held by Jorge Martin.
Meanwhile, in the third place of the MotoGP 2023 standings, the name of Marco Bezzecchi comes to the forefront. His third-place finish in the MotoGP Austria race boosted Bezzecchi’s total to 183 points.
However, it’s evident that Bezzecchi has distanced himself from the competition outside the top three positions. Moreover, there is a 23-point gap when compared to Brad Binder, who holds the fourth position.
The widening point gap seems to depict Bagnaia as a strong favorite to win the MotoGP 2023 world championship title. After a series of errors and no points in three out of the first five races, Bagnaia made a comeback with consistent performance in the following five races.
He secured three victories and two runner-up positions, showcasing his dominance. Notably, in the sprint race sessions, Bagnaia claimed the fastest time twice and finished second twice.
This remarkable track record not only propels Bagnaia forward, accumulating points one by one, but also marginalizes his competitors in the MotoGP 2023 standings. The next race, MotoGP Catalunya, is scheduled for September 3.
